This was a new build with a twist, the property was a detached building with a large garage to 90% of the ground floor which allowed the safe storage of a motorhome which had a through access from front to back, the ground floor was lowered to allow the height of the motor home to access the space easily.
The first floor was a modern two-bedroom flat with an external balcony, all completed to a high specification.

Thompson Construction refurbished this stunning house to the ground floor, originally a combination of rooms complete with a swimming pool. The pool was turned into a cinema / chill-out room, and above was the open plan living space complete with changing facilities due to the family being lake side.

This build was a conversation of an existing Coach house, Thompson Construction had to undertake significant restoration works to the building to make this safe and adaptable, underpinning, damp proof treatment and lime mortar repointing was just and hand full of these restoration processes.
Thompson Construction then added to the building creating a new four-bedroom house, the house has a fantastic feature, open plan feel to the kitchen space showing off ground floor to first floor ceilings and oak beams and trusses throughout. internally the clients wanted to keep it modern but with features that would stand out and look like those of the original build.
The project saw renewables installed on the house in way on solar panels and air source heat pump complete with an EV charge point for future use.

I employed Thompson Construction after a recommendation from my architect, Chris Thompson was my contact from the beginning to the end of the project.
Although Chris had architects plans to work from invariably things changed along the way and solutions had to be found. Chris was always available to talk through changes and help find solutions to enable the finished project to certainly have the ‘Wow’ factor. The staff who came each day were on time, were there when they said they would be and were extremely respectful of our privacy.
I am very happy with the finished results and have already awarded the next phase of the renovations to this company.
